An Evening With Leslie Mendelson
The Kennett Flash is proud to present An Evening With Leslie Mendelson! Sasturday, January 18, 2025$20 advance | $25 day-of-show | $5 BYOB 8pm show | 7pm doors | all ages With her enchanted voice and evocative songwriting, Leslie Mendelson has won the hearts and minds of both an adoring fanbase and fellow artists alike. No less than Jackson Browne has declared, “Leslie’s melodies are timeless. They reach me way back in my youth somewhere. I hear traces of Burt Bacharach and Carole King, and hooks and passages that remind me of the pop songs I grew up hearing on the radio,” while The Wallflowers frontman Jakob Dylan shares: “Voices like Leslie’s can get away with almost anything. Along with being a great songwriter, this leaves her with few if any peers.” A Grammy Award-nominated artist, Mendelson returns this summer with her fourth studio album, After The Party. For this latest effort, she collaborates with not one, but three producers: the legendary Peter Asher (James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt), the young, in-demand Tyler Chester (Madison Cunningham, Sara Bareilles, Sara Watkins) and her longtime songwriting partner, three-time Grammy Award-winner, Steve McEwan. Recorded at Jackson Browne’s studio Grove Masters in Santa Monica, CA, she was joined by an ace band featuring guitarists Waddy Wachtel and John Jorgenson, bassists Leland Sklar and Derrick Anderson, and drummers Jim Keltner and Abe Rounds. ———————————————- An online processing fee of $5.00 per ticket will appear on your order at check out. Antje Duvekot with special guest Kathy Moser

The Kennett Flash is proud to present ANTJE DUVEKOT.Thursday, November 30, 2023$25 all tickets | $5 BYOB8pm show | 7pm doorsall agesTHIS IS A MEMBER’S SPOTLIGHT SHOW! All Kennett Flash Members receive $5 off tickets!Singer-songwriter, Antje Duvekot is poised to unveil her fifth studio album, “New Wild West”, on September 15th. According to Duvekot, this collection of songs marks the pivotal juncture of mid-life and represents a new rung on the ladder of healing from trauma. The songs on “New Wild West” signal a genuine shift in Duvekot’s relationship with some of the enduring themes she has grappled with over the years. “On the whole”, says Duvekot, “my older songs sought to disarm trauma by bluntly acknowledging its destabilizing nature and creating a space in which to exist with that sensation, both for myself and my audiences. In contrast, the newer songs have the teeth and tenacity to openly confront and defy trauma. As such, I feel very warmly towards this collection of songs. They are long overdue dissidents”. Duvekot’s amplified voice in mid-life carries a protective fierceness that resonates across the album. Songs like “Girl on a Wire” and “Evolution” salute the perseverance we all apply to our human journey towards finding our voice. Duvekot says of hers, “I crawled into music as a protective vessel when I was a teenager. It lent me safety and allowed me to stay open and let in more continuous sunlight than I could have, otherwise. I want to pay back that loan. Many of the songs on ‘New Wild West’ do that”. The album “New Wild West” came to fruition through the collaboration of Duvekot and esteemed New England singer-songwriter Mark Erelli after a joint tour inspired the idea. Over the course of a year, Duvekot recorded most vocals from her home, while Erelli laid down the majority of instrumentation and production in his basement studio with notable guest performances by Seth Glier, Robby Hecht, Winnie Horan, John Gorka, Richard Shindell, and Kenny White.———————————————-A processing fee of $3.50 per ticket (for tickets $15.99 and under) or $5.00 (for tickets $16.00 and up) will appear on your order at check out. Laurie MacAllister of Red Molly | Solo Debut Tour 2025
The Kennett Flash is proud to present Laurie MacAllister of Red Molly on her Solo Debut Tour! Friday, March 7, 2025$20 advance | $25 day-of-show | $5 BYOB8pm show | 7pm doors | all ages Red Molly’s Laurie MacAllister is stepping out solo and is coming to Kennett Flash as part of her Debut Solo Tour. Laurie MacAllister held a quiet dream of being a singer since she was a very young girl. Her voice finally came alive years later when, on a dare, she was convinced to sing spontaneously for a crowd in New York City, in Washington Square Park. A career began in that very moment. Laurie began with a steady stream of nights on open mic stages around NYC, and then landed a regular Monday night gig at the The Grey Dog’s Coffee in the West Village. She released her first album of ten original songs called “These Old Clothes” soon afterward. In 2000, she discovered a passion for harmony singing while touring the country with folk luminary Cliff Eberhardt. Eberhardt produced Laurie’s next solo album, “The Things I Choose To Do”, which was first released independently, and then picked up by Barnes & Noble and re-released on their label. Laurie’s powerful yet delicate voice stretches octaves, warm and romantic one moment, playful and irreverent the next. One song at a time, one show at a time, over the course of more than two adventuresome decades, Laurie has turned her quiet dream into a joyous reality. ———————————————- An online processing fee of $5.00 per ticket will appear on your order at check out. Lizzie No w/ special guest Jessye DeSilva

The Kennett Flash is proud to present LIZZIE NO in celebration of her new album “Halfsies”Thursday, March 21, 2024$20 all tickets | $5 BYOB8pm show | 7pm doors | all agesAfter a dizzying five-year span that saw the release of two stunning, eclectic albums (Hard Won and Vanity, which drew praise from the likes of Billboard and Rolling Stone) — followed by appearances at AmericanaFest, the Newport Folk Festival, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, and SXSW, and tours with Iron and Wine, Son Little, and Adia Victoria — Lizzie No found herself at the forefront of a new vanguard of genre-defying artists. Her new album, Halfsies (Thirty Tigers / Miss Freedomland), finds No situated among her peers while still searching for freedom — freedom from the constraints of categorization, sure, but more importantly, freedom from the depths of her own personal despair and from an increasingly violent and nightmarish American cultural and political landscape. “Some albums are stories, some are films. This album is a video game,” No says of Halfsies, which traces the journey of Miss Freedomland (a character that represents No herself and her audience), from a place of both internal and external exile to liberation. The album, No says, is meant to be immersive — these songs are to be inhabited, not just by the singer but by those who receive them.———————————————-A processing fee of $3.50 per ticket (for tickets $15.99 and under) or $5.00 (for tickets $16.00 and up) will appear on your order at check out.
