He ultimately finds Gretchen Emery singing her little heart out in a small-town, scoops her up, plucks a bass player and drummer out of the ethers, and *BOOM* the Gretchen Emery Band is born!!! Knock-your-socks-off performances of original soul & blues-powered music that is fresh, yet somehow familiar all at the same time, which will only leave you wanting more. Gretchen received “Best Lead Singer” award by Hometown Heroes Delaware Valley (2023), and was inducted into the Delaware Blues Hall of Fame (2013). She has had the honor of performing with Hubert Sumlin, Lowrider Band (formerly War), Johnny Neel, Michael Hill’s Blues Mob, Victor Wainwright, and Sam Cockrell. The Delta Squad and Hockessin SOR House Band are comprised of the most accomplished students from the School of Rock Main Line and School of Rock Hockessin who must earn their spots by passing an audition. These students have made a commitment to the study of music, where their responsibilities at each school, individually and as a group, are great examples of young people who give back to the community with the many local events at which they play. Her infectious energy and contagious enthusiasm in everything she creates is electric, while her passion and commitment to her music radiate through her fiery blend of indie-rock and punk with hints of dream pop and folk. A skilled lyricist and melodist, Ridgeway is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who can play guitar, harmonica, trumpet, trombone, drums, piano, mandolin, and bass – sometimes playing three instruments at once! Friend of a Friend formed in the summer of 2020 after a lifetime just missing each other. Since the 2022 release of their debut album “In Arms,” they’ve toured relentlessly throughout Europe and North America. FOAF has been named an artist to watch by Rolling Stone, an “American Visionary Duo” by Mesmerized, an “indie rock band taking the scene by storm” by Wonderland Magazine, a “cultural phenomenon” by Extravafrench, “sonic visionaries” by Plastic Magazine, “the next huge thing in indie rock” by Each Measure, “seamlessly intriguing” by Obscure Sound. Their music fuses the heaviness of modern rock bands like Queens of the Stone Age with the style and feel of classic 70s rock groups to create a massive sound that is both familiar and fresh. Dan & Joe go all out at every show and are sure to have audience heads banging and faces melting. El Dingo is a Three (sometimes four) piece from South NJ. Primarily fast, hard, heavy, loud rock / punk, El Dingo can switch gears and play some psychedelic funky sounds too. Bread and Butter is a band formed in Philadelphia, but with roots in Delaware. The five members went to the same school, and were all in the same school band (although not all at the same time). The band consists of brothers David (Drums) and Andrew (Guitar), Cameron (Keyboard), and Heather (Vocals), who formed the band together at college. Paul (Bass) was then brought from a state over to complete the group.
