Nathan Graham Band

The Kennett Flash is proud to present the return of NATHAN GRAHAM – this time with a FULL BAND!Friday, June 21, 2024$25 tickets | $5 BYOB8pm show | 7pm doorsall ages Born and raised in Chicago, Nathan Graham meshes South Side Blues with Nashville Americana, beginning his career backing blues singers at famous haunts like Buddy Guy’s Legends and Kingston Mines. He spent a decade as a guitar-for-hire before picking up a mic to tell his own stories on the stage. Soulful and steady, Graham’s music offers a raw introspective of the human condition that’s both painful and comforting. His guitar conveys heartbreak, lyrics tell stories of regret, but his rich vocal delivery offers the remedy. Having brought his songs on international tours with both major label and indie acts, Graham is challenging the notion of what it means to be a singer-songwriter. He’s driving inclusivity within the genre, and he hopes to evoke a sense of understanding in the process. “I’m writing about universal experiences,” he says. “I’m writing music to connect my story to yours, show you all that we have in common, and maybe help both of us feel less alone.” Stellar debut…[Graham] manages to blend Soul, Rock, and Americana into an irresistible sound… This is a record that’s begging to be heard live.” -GLIDE “A powerhouse singer with a deep drive to connect, the Chicago-born-and-raised Graham tenderly wraps his fears and anxieties in velvety arrangements infused with a wide range of influences from rock and folk to soul and blues.”-NO DEPRESSION———————————————-An online processing fee of $3.50 per ticket (for tickets $15.99 and under) or $5.00 per ticket (for tickets $16.00 and up) will appear on your order at check out. With the launch of their first single “Over The Moon” followed by the release of their debut EP in 2021, Mallow Hill has taken the Baltimore music scene by storm with their powerful and captivating approach to live performances. Without losing a shred of momentum, Mallow Hill are now preparing for their biggest year yet. His background in theater is pronounced through the lyrical storytelling of songs “God’s Gonna Make Things Over” about the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, “Welcome to My World”, and “Got Your Letter In My Pocket”. WXPN welcomes: Buffalo Nichols [SOLD OUT]

WXPN Welcomes Buffalo Nichols!Presented by The Kennett FlashSince his earliest infatuations with guitar, Buffalo Nichols has asked himself the same question: How can I bring the blues of the past into the future? After cutting his teeth between a Baptist church and bars in Milwaukee, it was a globetrotting trip through West Africa and Europe during a creative down period that began to reveal the answer. “Part of my intent, making myself more comfortable with this release, is putting more Black stories into the genres of folk and blues,” guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist Carl “Buffalo” Nichols explains. “Listening to this record, I want more Black people to hear themselves in this music that is truly theirs.” That desire is embodied in his self-titled debut album —Fat Possum’s first solo blues signing in nearly 20 years—composed largely of demos and studio sessions recorded between Wisconsin and Texas.———————————————-A processing fee of $3.50 per ticket (for tickets $15.99 and under) or $5.00 (for tickets $16.00 and up) will appear on your order at check out.
