The ensemble incorporates earthy acoustic tones with electronic sounds to create a powerful mix of the past and the present. Jonathan’s compositions process his life as a black man, a father, a husband, and an artivist who believes in the power of music to illuminate challenging and complex societal issues. He believes music creates a space for bridges to be built, joy to be spread, and norms to be challenged. The Nolan Wible Octet
The Kennett Flash is proud to present The Nolan Wible Octet Nolan Wible is an active in demand trumpet player residing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His versatility of sound and style has allowed him the opportunity to play in a variety of settings from jazz groups, pop/rock bands to churches and orchestras. Nolan has performed across Louisiana with artists like the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Larry Sieberth and Doug Stone. As a side man and music arranger, Nolan can be heard on six different albums and is a featured soloist on Bryan Tuk`s “Life in High Gravity”. Nolan leads his own jazz octet that is routed in the music of the Dave Pell Octet.
