Our unique, gumbo- flavored repertoire takes its flavor from the Vieux Carré to Lake Ponchartrain, and beyond. Originals in the second line style and curated covers round out the carnival time sound; all percolated through the language of Jazz and Blues. Featuring the best sidemen in the area, our second line is as hot as anything you’ll hear at St. Phillip and North Rampart on Mardi Gras day. The ensemble incorporates earthy acoustic tones with electronic sounds to create a powerful mix of the past and the present. Jonathan’s compositions process his life as a black man, a father, a husband, and an artivist who believes in the power of music to illuminate challenging and complex societal issues. He believes music creates a space for bridges to be built, joy to be spread, and norms to be challenged. The Nolan Wible Octet
The Kennett Flash is proud to present The Nolan Wible Octet Nolan Wible is an active in demand trumpet player residing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His versatility of sound and style has allowed him the opportunity to play in a variety of settings from jazz groups, pop/rock bands to churches and orchestras. Nolan has performed across Louisiana with artists like the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Larry Sieberth and Doug Stone. As a side man and music arranger, Nolan can be heard on six different albums and is a featured soloist on Bryan Tuk`s “Life in High Gravity”. Nolan leads his own jazz octet that is routed in the music of the Dave Pell Octet. The groups features a selection of traditional jazz as well as original music and arrangements from the band.———————————————-A processing fee of $3.50 per ticket (for tickets $15.99 and under) or $5.00 (for tickets $16.00 and up) will appear on your order at check out.
