Landfall – Blending folk, rock, and blues, the trio delivers soulful storytelling, gritty guitar, and an authentic, heartfelt sound.
Sam & The Vampire – Towson-based band, Sam and The Vampire, complement strong vocals with gutsy lyricism and an alternative sound inspired by artists like The Cranberries, Phoebe Bridgers, and Death Cab for Cutie.
The Naked Sun – The Naked Sun is a Philadelphia indie-rock band blending cosmic Americana, jangly guitars, and storytelling grit. For fans of Wilco, The War on Drugs, and Neil Young, their new LP Mirror in the Hallway showcases cinematic depth and heartland hooks. Independent.

The 2026 New Summer Sounds Series at The Kennett Flash is designed to highlight new local artists and provide a professional venue to showcase their talent as they compete in a Battle of the Bands format show where our finalists will compete for a $400 prize, 4 hours of recording time, and a chance to headline their own performance at The Kennett Flash!
The series will feature three (3) semi-final rounds, and one final round where our three (3) finalists will compete for:
Winners are chosen by a panel of judges made up of artists, volunteers, board and staff.
For the semi-final rounds, each artist will perform 4 songs.
For the final round, each artist will perform for 30 minutes.

In accordance with Pennsylvania law, we are now an all-in pricing venue, so the price that you will see online for our shows include all fees. Tickets are available at the door for all shows unless otherwise posted or sold out.

Opener (Level 2) and Headliner (Level 3) Members: Thank you for your support! Select your tickets using the price code that matches your Membership level and enter your Member ID into the prompt during the checkout process. With the shift in Pennsylvania venues requiring all-in pricing, we are still committed to the value of your membership. Level 2 and 3 Flash Members will still receive a discount based on the typical cost of the online fees, but it will vary from show to show.
