Impolite Society: We’re a 3 piece rock band from Berks County who love doing an energetic mix of covers and originals. 

Ride The Line: We specialize in a unique blend of original music and popular rock covers, providing soaring melodies and emotional lyrics which provides an unforgettable live performance that resonates with diverse audiences.

Tempting the Tides: 5 Piece Metalcore Band from Middletown. We just love to play music and engage with crowds.

Yet It Moves: Yet It Moves is a post-hardcore band born from the sonic legacy of its frontman, Jonah Latshaw. Growing up with a father who was a member of the influential band Boysetsfire, music was always in Jonah’s blood. After cutting his teeth in the aggressive soundscape of The May 4th Massacre, he forged a new path with Yet It Moves. With a sound that blends intense energy, melodic hooks, and emotional depth, Yet It Moves is poised to leave its mark on the post-hardcore scene.

The 2025 New Summer Sounds Series at The Kennett Flash is designed to highlight new local artists and provide a professional venue to showcase their talent as they compete in a Battle of the Bands format show where our finalists will compete for a $400 prize, 4 hours of recording time, and a chance to headline their own performance at The Kennett Flash!

The series will feature three (3) semi-final rounds, and one final round where our three (3) finalists will compete for:

• a $400 grand prize (sponsored by The Mattock School of Music) 
• 4 hours of recording time at The Mattock School of Music
• a chance to headline your own performance at The Kennett Flash!

Winners are chosen by a panel of judges made up of artists, volunteers, board and staff.
For the semi-final rounds, each artist will perform 3-4 songs.
For the final round, each artist will perform for 30 minutes.

An online processing fee of $1.50 per ticket is automatically added to your order for online purchases. This online processing fee is waived when you purchase tickets at the door. You may also email [email protected] to schedule a phone call or a time to buy tickets in-person.

BYOB fees are $5 per person who is drinking. Even if you are sharing a 6-pack. Paid at the door only, cash or charge.
