This series is designed to highlight new local artists and provide a professional venue to showcase their talent as they compete in a Battle of the Bands style format show. Bands must be new to performing with less than 2 years of live performance experience.
The series will feature three (3) semi-final rounds, and one final round where our three (3) finalists will compete for:

a $400 grand prize (sponsored by The Mattock School of Music)

4 hours of recording time at The Mattock School of Music

a chance to headline your own performance at The Kennett Flash in 2027!
Twelve (12) semi-final bands and alternates will be chosen by the Kennett Flash staff.
Winners are chosen by a panel of judges made up of artists, volunteers, board and staff.
For the semi-final rounds, each artist will perform 4 songs.
For the final round, each artist will perform for 30 minutes.
